Day 43

Happy Mother's Day!

I decided to take Mommy camping for her first Mother's day and my first camping trip! We drove to Wallace Falls State Park and stayed in a one room cabin. This was going to be our cabin but there were three big problems:

1. Bees nest
2. Hornets nest
3. Wasps next
Mommy thought I was too young to learn about the birds and the bees, so we we moved to a different cabin.

It looked like everyone wanted to go hiking with their Mommies today! The sun was shining and it was warm, such a perfect day to play in the woods! Mommy was so happy to be out in the woods with me and Daddy. She didn't stop smiling the whole weekend!

The fresh air, singing birds, and the motion of Mommy hiking was a great combination for my nap time!

After our hike Daddy made hamburgers and grilled asparagus, and we had baked beans and potato salad! We got Mommy a little Mother's Day gift for an appetizer, fig spread. When we handed her the box of crackers to open, there wasn't really any crackers inside. Instead she found a little brown box with a purple satin bow. She thought maybe it was a little box of chocolates, but she knew better this time...


We got Mommy a beautiful necklace for her first Mother's Day! It is an Aquamarine, my birthstone, and three little diamonds to represent our family; Mommy, Daddy and Me! She really wasn't expecting such a pretty necklace for Mother's Day, but she thought that the fig spread was a little strange!!
