Day 56

Today Daddy woke up early to go to work. Mommy and I woke up just a little bit after him. We had to get up and out of the house early so Mommy could go swimming at the Pop Mounger outdoor pool! It was kind of a chilly day, but it was sunny and Mommy said the pool was warm. Daddy got to take his break and hang out with me while Mommy swam laps. It looked like a lot of fun. I can't wait to go swimming with Mommy and Daddy someday!!

We hung out with Daddy for a little while, then we went to an event put on by Parent Map. It was a lecture and discussion panel on the balance of parenting/work/relationships. Mommy got lost on the way there so we only got to hear the last little bit of the lecture. I think she got a few good pointers; don't sweat the small stuff, ask for help, don't forget about doing things just for you, it won't always be easy, savor the moment, and love life (I threw in that last one because I think everyone should love life, I have been loving my life these last 56 days!)
