We all woke up early today. I had my appointment with Dr. Stevens, I was getting my vaccination shots and Daddy was going to Bainbridge Island. Mommy and Daddy were going back and forth about what shots to get for me and how they wanted to schedule them. Mommy doesn't like the idea of me, a tiny little baby, being shot up with lots of junk. The Vaccine Book, by Dr. Sears, was supposed to help with information about the vaccines, but I think it confused Mommy even more.
Well the good news is I am 24 inches tall and 13 pounds big! I am a growing boy, I think all my snacks are doing the trick! The bad news is that I had two shots. I got two band-aids and two stickers to prove it. I have to go back in a few weeks for a couple more shots, bummer:(
I didn't mind so much when they were pricking me, I only cried out for a quick minute, I think it helped since I was nursing! But when I got home I was really sore. I tried to sleep off the discomfort, but every time I woke up I cried really bad. I spent almost 6 hours skin-to-skin in Mommy's arms. She thought holding me close would help me feel better, and it did, a little bit.
Mommy called Daddy at work and he came home with some Baby Tylenol. A small bit of the medicine and a long nap did the trick. Mommy almost started crying when she saw me smiling in my sleep, she knew at that point that I was going to be ok!
After I woke up I had some fun on the playmat.

For bedtime Mommy put me in a swaddle and I slept in my co-sleeper for a few hours!
