Day 112

This morning Lao Lao took me on a tour of her garden! She has a big back yard and a very big garden too!

After breakfast Grandpa Sebe took us to Minnehaha Falls. We had lunch at Sea Salt and went on a nice hike to the Mississippi River!

Mommy grew up coming to this park in the summer and in the winter. Daddy helped me get my feet wet and this time I went in the water I really liked it!

I liked it so much that Great Uncle Rob helped me get in even further! The creek was warm and moving really fast. I think I might have even seen a fishy!!!

After our hike we went back to a grand dinner made by Lao Lao. It was an extra special dinner because Auntie Annie's friend Jason came over!

Mommy was really looking forward to talking with Auntie Annie's friend, but was interrupted by a tornado warning. I was in the bedroom having dinner with Mommy and we heard a really loud siren. Mommy shouted out to everyone at the dinner table "is that a tornado siren?" But everyone was busy eating and chatting they didn't hear it. Mommy quickly grabbed me and the flashlight and ran down to the basement and as we passed the dinner table she yelled "there's a tornado!"

Mommy and I stayed in the basement for over an hour while the storm came. Daddy came to check on us and Auntie Annie helped with the safety plan.

Luckily the tornado didn't come too close to Grandpa Sebe and Lao Lao's house. Unfortunately Mommy missed out on the conversations with Jason. Oh well, at least we're all safe!
