Day 144

This morning Mommy and I went to 'Next Months' at Birth and Beyond. We met up with Amy and Grace and lots of other moms, one dad, and their babies. Mommy was really reassured listening to all the other moms' questions and Nurse Anne, the group leader, had good answers. Basically Nurse Anne was saying that if your parenting style and the way you are raising your baby is working for you, don't change it.
There were so many mommies that were worried or concerned about their baby's sleeping, eating, playing, swaddling, dressing, and they were reading books or listening to other people that were telling them all sorts of different things, so that they didn't know what to do. Nurse Ann was trying to instill a state of confidence in the mommies and helped them understand that their is not just 'one way' to raise a babe. You have to pick and choose the information that best suites you and your situation. I think Mommy and Daddy are doing a great job raising me so far and don't think they need to change a thing. Well, except maybe they can take me on a few more camping trips!!!
After class we were going to go on a walk with Grace and her mommy. We went to Green Lake, but on the way there Grace wasn't doing so good, so they went home instead. While we were waiting for them I had a fun time playing with my toes in the back seat of the Wago. I'm super good at putting my tootsies into my mouth!
Good thing we ended up not walking around the lake. Mommy needed to get home and make a pasta salad for her big night out. She and the Peps mommies were having a Mom's Night Out! They were all meeting on the top of Conrad's condo in Belltown for a mommy's only party!

So after Mommy got ready, Daddy and I walked her to the bus stop.
We had a fun time together, alone, just the two of us! We hung out and Daddy fed me dinner in a bottle. We cleaned up the house and got my room ready for our guests tonight. Lucas, Daddy's friend from high school, and Lucas' friend Keith are flying in tonight to climb Mt. Rainier with Daddy and Joe this weekend. After all that hard work I took a little nap.
And when I woke up, Daddy and I played until Mommy came home at 9:30! She was so happy to see me! She told us all about her night and how she stayed on the edge of her seat for the first hour because she felt like she should be running around doing something. She also told me that she was thinking of me the entire time! Then she wanted to hear everything we did while she was out.
I'm glad Mommy left and had some time away, I hope she can do it again soon! I liked my special alone time with Daddy!!!!
Mommy took me to bed and then late late at night, Daddy went to the airport to pick up the boys.
