Mommy calls me her little rooster. I always wake up between 7-7:30 in the morning and take 30 minute naps. She doesn't know how I do it because I can't even tell time yet. I'm going to keep it my little secret!
When I am ready to get up in the morning I roll around the bed, kick around my legs, wave my arms, talk and sing songs, pat Daddy's face, pull at Mommy's hair, and play with the covers. Lately Daddy has been getting up with me so that Mommy can sleep in a little longer. But sometimes Mommy gets up with me so that Daddy can get some extra sleep. There have been a few times when they both stay in bed and bring in some toys for me to play with, but that only lasts for about 10 minutes.
Throughout the day when I'm ready for a nap I'll rub my eyes. If we're at home, I will snuggle with Mommy and nurse to sleep then I'll go to my crib, or sometimes we'll nap together in the big bed or on the barcalounger. But if we're out on a walk I will sleep in my stroller or carrier and I can even take a nap in my car seat if we're driving in the wago.
At night Mommy tries to put me to bed around 7. Sometimes I take a bath first and other times we read stories. I used to get to fall asleep in the big bed, but since I can crawl around now, Mommy will put me to bed in my crib. We'll snuggle and I will fall asleep nursing in Mommy's arms, then Mommy will slide me into my crib. Usually I'll wake up 30 minutes later thinking I will get to hang out after a little nap, but Mommy will come back in my room and snuggle me and nurse me back to sleep.
I was on a good schedule of sleeping for about 3 hours at a time, but ever since my teeth started to come in I get uncomfortable and wake up a lot more. No matter what my schedule and sleep patterns are, Mommy and Daddy are always there checking on me and comfort me when I wake up.
