Day 79

We woke up early for Peps group today. We met at Hannah’s house in Magnolia. Today’s topic of discussion was Post Partum Depression. Some mommies shared their stories and several mommies shared how they cope with their new life with a baby and how difficult it can be. Some of the daddies also are having a difficult time adjusting to their new life with a baby.

My Mommy didn’t really say very much. Later she told Daddy that she feels extremely lucky to have such a great support network of friends, family, an incredibly supportive and helpful husband, and the greatest baby on earth (that’s ME!). Mommy got some information about post partum depression so if she ever needs to talk to anyone she can.

At the end of our Peps meeting my little buddies and I had a photo shoot!

Hanna lives super close to Daddy’s work at Magnolia Community Center, so Mommy and I went to visit him. We said hello for a little while, I had a snack in the park, and then we drove to Birth and Beyond and Sugar Lump to look around, and shop!

We met Daddy at home and then we all went to the airport to pick up Mommy’s cousin Laura and her husband John. They were so happy to see us and I gave them a warm welcome with my loud loud lungs, I was wet and hungry! After a quick snack we went for Happy Hour at Laredo’s. We had a few beers, margaritas, tacos, nachos, and milk for me!

We went home and Laura showed me how she got here, on an airplane!

We played for a while and then John and Laura’s friend Jay came over for dinner. Daddy grilled chicken brats. After dinner Daddy took John and Jay out for party time and Laura and Mommy stayed home with me and went to bed.
