Day 118

I woke up today and Mommy brought me up to Bubbie’s big bed again. She is always so happy when I wake her up! We had a goal to get out of the house by 10 a.m., Mommy said that if we don’t get out by then that we’ll never get out, at least that’s how it goes when we’re back home in Seattle.

Both Great Auntie B and Auntie Annie woke up late. A little coffee, tea, and a quick breakfast got them going. We headed into Duluth to find a pot for Auntie Annie and a t-shirt for Daddy.

I had better naps today, the car ride helped! We toured Park Place Point and saw where my Great Great Aunt Loranda (whom I hope to meet someday soon!) has her lake home. We went to a book store, a kitchen store, a thrift store (sorry Daddy, no luck on the t-shirt yet), and a grocery store. We were all excited to get back to the cabin. Duluth was nice, but the Sugar Shack is WAY better!!!

After lunch I went swimming in Lake Betty with Mommy!

I had fun kicking in the water!

Then to make sure I stayed warm Mommy rushed me into an outdoor hot tub for swimmer babies!

After my splish-splash fun time Auntie Annie gave me a bath. It felt sooo good! I got to play for a little while grabbing at my toes and the washcloth and I even tried to slip away from Auntie Annie too, oops!
When I was done with my bath, Bubbie took me on a walk in the pram on a walk up and down the driveway lane.

Mommy and Auntie Annie played mechanic on Bubbie’s jeep wrangler and had to call Daddy in Seattle to ask him how to use jumper cables. Auntie Annie thought she knew how to use them, but Mommy felt safer asking "the expert", thanks Daddy! The jeep started, the tires got inflated, and they took movies as they drove up the big hill on the lake.

There was a double rainbow in the evening that caught our attention for long time. Great Auntie B thought it was a sign!

I fell asleep after dinner and Auntie Annie and Mommy stayed up really really late looking at the pictures and laughing at the silly movies they made on the jeep ride.
